Director of Operations

Knowledge and Skills Required

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management or Healthcare related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in management related to healthcare operations in a group practice environment
  • Practical knowledge and experience in working with practice management software systems with the ability to direct workflow in order to optimize operations

Education and Experience Preferred

  • Master’s in Health Care Administration (MHA) or Masters in Business Administration (MBA)

Position Details

  • Full time
  • 40% traveling requirement to Orlando/Sebring region of Florida

Essential Functions

  • Coordinates the day-to-day administrative (non-clinical) operations of the hospitalist program to fulfill the commitments outlined in the Agreements between Pioneer Medical Group (PMG) and each Florida Hospital
  • Works to create an environment of efficient revenue cycle optimization in cooperation with the appropriate support systems to provide timely and accurate information as needed
  • Responsible for coordination of established credentialing procedures in conjunction with the physician group credentialing team and hospital medical staff offices
  • Holds hospitalist providers accountable (in collaboration with PMG CMO’s) to accuracy and timeliness of charge entry and documentation
  • Reviews and evaluates the financial performance as it relates to revenue cycle optimization of regional hospitalist group
  • This may also include calculating specific quality metrics and managing census-to-physician ratios set by Agreements
  • Collects and evaluates each hospital and provider quality data to calculate and submit contractual quality metric incentives established by the hospitals
  • Supports the design and implementation of physician onboarding while attending the orientation/training of hospitalist providers
  • Collaborate with Hospital leadership in efforts to operations of hospital medicine program
  • Leads and directs all charge process and monthly charge reconciliation
  • Participates in PMG weekly admin meetings
  • Participates in facility team meetings to review billing, documentation, and quality reports
  • Supports the Pioneer finance team and complies with policies and procedures
  • Acts as the driver/initiator of developing specialized reports
  • Provides billing system training, education and support to hospitalist providers
  • Provide business development support to existing business accounts
  • Provide Growth strategies for new and current regions of service
  • Provide support to Acute and Post-acute line of service
  • All other duties as assigned

Documentation Specialist

  • Practical knowledge and experience working with ICD 10, CPT, HCPCS, among other field related domains
  • CPC/CPMA certification

Essential Functions

  • Providers Audits
  • Focused audit projects on providers
  • Provide education to provider on Audit
  • Record audit findings for provider trends
  • Provide education and training to new providers
  • Follow-up with new providers within 1 month of working
  • Follow audit schedule with AHS corporate and assist with any educational calls
  • Manage and maintain APP’s sign outs for all regions
  • Manage and maintain charges through IM bills
  • Assist with coding questions from data entry and providers
  • Assist with reporting provider numbers for Pioneer leadership for all hospitals on a monthly basis
  • Stay up-to-date with coding guidelines
  • Keep providers educated on rules and guidelines to follow
  • Assist with charge lag reporting
  • Other duties as assigned

Critical Care Physician

Pioneer Medical Group is seeking Critical Care Physician to service the Florida Hospitals in the Tampa Bay Area.

Since 2006, Pioneer Medical Group has continued to grow and meet the healthcare needs of the community. Our hospitalist service covers Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties, serving Florida Hospital in North Pinellas, Wesley Chapel, Tampa, Carrollwood and Zephyrhills. In addition, we provide post-transitional medical care to patients in 16 skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities throughout these counties.

Pioneer Medical Group is actively looking to add to our team of 45 providers. Pioneer providers are extremely driven, continuously aiming high to create the ultimate whole person healthcare experience. Pioneer Nurse Practitioner will function within a clinical team of professionals working autonomously in relation to the complete management of internal medicine patients; complementing other professionals in the delivery of high quality service provision. This position uses clinical judgment and autonomous decision-making skills in relation to assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients.

The city of Tampa has 2 international airports, great outdoor activities, attractions and is located minutes from stunning beaches and world famous sunsets. Tampa also has excellent public and private schools.

Physicians must have active Florida license and critical care certification.
